BANQUET
The Blue Knights will hold their annual awards banquet this Friday, November 20 at the Four Points by Sheraton on the corner of I-25 and Hampden in Denver. This banquet is a celebration of the Blue Knights family accomplishments over the past year and members of our drum corps, percussion ensemble and Opus 10 will all be honored along with our many supporters. “This is the one time all year where we have the opportunity to come together as a family and celebrate our accomplishments as an organization”, said Blue Knights Executive Director Mark Arnold. “The scope of what we do each year and the impact we have upon the youth who participate in our programs really comes into focus at this event!” (See related article below for further information on reservations)
AUDITION CAMP
The Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps will hold their first Denver area audition camp this weekend at Englewood High School at 3800 S Logan St., in Englewood, CO. Camp registration begins at 10:00 AM Saturday the 21st and the camp will kick off with a general meeting at 11:00 AM. “I’m really excited about this camp!” stated Blue Knights Executive Director Mark Arnold. “We have really been working hard toward making 2010 a successful year and I’m really looking forward to sharing our plans with those who will be auditioning along with our returning vets.” The camp concludes at 4:00 PM Sunday.
It’s still not too late to register for the camp. Registration can be done at the door or on the Web Site at www.bknights.org (click on the “Dare to Be a Blue Knight” banner). “We really make this an experience that all who attend will feel was well worth the investment.” said Arnold. “It’s not only about the audition. It’s about sharing a weekend with some of the most talented and motivated musicians and performers in the region. You get to see what it is like to work side by side learning the techniques that have made the Blue Knights one of the most respected Drum and Bugle Corps in the world. I can guarantee a motivational experience for all who attend!!
