The Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps will be presenting two free brass clinics in Texas in November.  The clinics will feature Andy Smart, featured trumpet soloist for the Tony Award Winning Broadway Hit Musical “”BLAST!”, 1999 DCI World Champion soloist, former Blue Knights drum major and current Brass Caption Head of the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps.  Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Andy, learn the techniques that have lead to the success of our musical ensemble and ask questions about the drum corps experience.   

 

Clinics are FREE and participants are asked to bring their own instruments!

 

The clinics will be held at O’Conner High School in Helotes, TX near San Antonio and at West Texas A&M University in Canyon Texas.  Hosts of the clinics are Blue Knights Alumni B.J. Brooks and Wes Perkins.  Wes is currently the band director at O’Conner and B.J. is a music professor at West Texas A&M.
